The Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai

A number of writers assert that Usui Mikao was the founder and first president or kaicho of the Usi Reiki Ryoho Gakkai (Usui Reiki Healing Method Association). However it seems that Rear Admiral Ushida (Juusaburo Gyuda) founded the gakkai around 1926/7 with other students of Usui.

Usui may have indeed been posthumously named as the first president. The gakkai exists today. The following list of presidents is believed to be accurate.
