The Five Precepts of Reiki
Reiki Students are asked to recite these precepts each day.
These five basic statements are much more than they first appear.
Through daily recitation and meditation they can assist the practitioner to bring great balance into all aspects of their life.
These six simple statements are much deeper than they appear.
They are a call to live in the present and to deeply explore the way
that we live in the world.
These may appear in slightly different forms.
The following are placed here for your contemplation.
The secret of inviting happiness through many blessings.
The spiritual medicine for all illness
For today only:
Do not anger
Do not worry
Be Humble
Be honest in your work.
Be compassionate to yourself and others.
Do gassho every morning and evening. (recite the precepts)
Keep in your mind and recite.
Mikao Usui
If we could live a life that responded to these precepts what joy it would being.
Being compassionate with ourself precedes reaching out to others.
We need to be whole to be of benefit to those we love
and those with whom we come into contact.
As a system Reiki gives us the tools to do just this.
